Epoxy glass copper clad laminate, water-based modelling clay, chemical corrosion with water, ammonia, and vinegar

An over-wet clay eye was placed on copper and exposed to moisture, ammonia, and vinegar. The clay drew in the fumes and held them close: while the surrounding surface corroded, the sealed center resisted rusting.
